As the weekend approaches, we all look towards the slumber, unwinding, and spending time with our loved ones. This is the time to be in the moment and to be oneself.
Since my big move to a spacious and sunlit apartment in NYC, I have found a newer love for hospitality. Saturday cartoons, kids, good friends and pancakes, what could be better?
The recipe is super easy and it's a favorite among adults and kids.
1 large tbsp of sugar
1 cup of sour cream
5 large tbsp of flour
1/4 tsp of baking soda
Butter as needed
Break the eggs in a large bowl
Add the sugar, whisk together until the mixture is foamy
Add the sour cream, whisk
Add the flour and whisk until smooth
In a spoon, mix 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and boiling water (to make the pancakes fluffy) It will make a delightful fizzy sound :) and mix well
Heat a pan and add butter
Once hot, take a large spoon and add the mixture to the pan in small pancake shapes
Turn over in about two minutes
To serve use sour cream, whipped cream, yogurt and jam !
